Thai Yoga Massage

Thai Yoga Massage is a healing art, a truly holistic form of energy and bodywork for body and mind. Known as Nuat Phaen Boran (traditional style massage), its origins can be traced back generations. Indian yogic principles, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Eastern Massage are all incorporated. I am trained in the Northern style of Thai Yoga and Dynamic, or Osteo-Thai, Massage.

A Thai Yoga Massage is a full body treatment. I work from toe to crown, mobilising joints, and performing passive stretches. I work Sen lines using a range of techniques including thumb, palm, feet, and elbow pressure. Sen lines are pathways around the body through which our energy flows. These pathways can become blocked through illness, injury, trauma, stress or an unhealthy lifestyle. Thai Massage stimulates or relaxes the points and unblocks energy.

Thai Yoga Massage is performed fully clothed on a futon at floor level without oils. It is suitable for all ages, all levels of flexibility and mobility. It is the perfect form of massage for anyone who is stiff or sore, fatigued by sport or the demands of work, family life. Try Thai Massage if you are under stress or suffering from certain medical ailments. These include headache, back pain, circulatory or respiratory problems. In addition, low energy, mobility problems and digestive and menstrual problems.

Lesley has been bringing Thai Yoga Massage to me for the last couple of years now. She has greatly helped my shoulder pain and general stiffness from playing sport. Thai yoga massage has been amazing for helping to loosen my muscles and resolve aches. Lesley tailors the appointment to suit me and is always offering advice and aftercare. It’s incredibly relaxing; a great way to destress.

Thai Foot Massage

Thai Foot Massage is a wonderfully relaxing treatment that covers the whole foot and lower legs. Oil is applied up to the knee. I massage the whole area using my hands and a traditional rosewood stick. Following this, we wrap your feet in a towel in the traditional Thai method. As your feet are kept warm, I work the leg Sen lines to release blocked energy. This is a rewarding treatment that can be very restorative to the body.

As an added treat, you can add a 15 minute massage of the hands for only £5. I used oil and work the Sen lines and pressure points on the hands, fingers, and wrists. This relaxing treatment brings balance to body and mind while relieving stiffness and tenderness. A wonderful combination of therapies!

Revives tired feet and legs
Reduces levels of stress and tension
Promotes restful sleep
Boosts circulation, immune and lymphatic systems

I have regular Thai Foot Massage from Lesley. The treatment feels fabulous and I get a wonderful night’s sleep as a result! Highly recommended.

Onsite Seated Acupressure

I perform Seated Acupressure based on Zen Shiatsu. Shiatsu is a form of energy work. I use techniques to work with the body’s own energy; nothing is put in or taken out. These energies flow through meridians and I aim to bring them towards balance.

Onsite Seated Acupressure (chair or corporate massage) is suitable for almost everyone. The treatment takes place on a specially designed chair that supports the head, chest, arms, and knees. Treatments are given without oils through clothing. The Acupressure lasts from 10 to 30 minutes.

This is the ideal massage treatment to offer in the workplace and at events.

Mess free
Convenient & quick
Eases tense muscles
Relieves anxiety and stress
Boosts circulation and immune system

I was sceptical about the benefits of a short treatment on-site seated acupressure session. However after my massage, I was so relaxed, my muscles felt eased and my lower back pain had gone! An extremely positive experience with Lesley showing the highest level of professionalism.

Massage for pregnancy: antenatal & postnatal massage

Due to the intensive nature of Well Mother training, you can enjoy this massage throughout your pregnancy, the immediate postnatal period and beyond. It can be especially beneficial in easing complications during pregnancy. Techniques used in the massage can help with overdue labour and postnatal recovery. Or you can simply enjoy the massage for relaxation.

We tailor each treatment to meet your needs and the stage of pregnancy or post-natal period you are at. The massage is a combination of Swedish, Thai, and Shiatsu techniques. It is performed on a massage table or at floor level on a futon. I use lots of cushions and blankets for your comfort.

A Well Mother treatment is much more than just a massage. It includes special guided breathing and visualisation techniques. These can be used as preparation for labour and birth. Plus, I share antenatal exercises appropriate for you.

A first treatment usually lasts for 90 minutes which allows me to ensure the massage is tailored for you. Subsequent treatments may be 60 or 90 minutes in duration. Visit the ‘Support Through Pregnancy’ page for more information.
